3D Modeling & Printing
Over the last couple of weeks I have been getting into 3D modeling and printing. I have tried my hand at 3D modeling before in middle school but was limited by time and exposure. But one day I came into class and there was a 3Doodler and I had just seen a video of someone who made a venom figure using one and so I wanted to challenge myself with it. I was introduced to Tinkercad which is a 3D modeling program. I first made a 6 sided dice. I felt confident with it and so I made a 20 sided dice which I remembered were commonly used for D&D. This inspired me to create a D&D style mini figure. This certainly tested my skills as I had to learn how to use different tools and shapes and having to find different ways to manipulate the pieces. I printed this piece and there were some deformations and so for my next model I made sure the piece had proper structure and suports
